DEVELOP 5 CHILDREN'S SKILLS

Educational challenges made by specialists in early childhood education

Our product strategy assumes that children who develop the 5 skills contemplated in our application from 3 to 7 years old are more likely to develop academically and socially than children who lose this learning window. For this reason, we use sets of teaching methodologies related in the field of exact to the learning of addition, subtraction and in the line of literacy, reading and writing through images, associations and reading, added to the development of Story Tellings, which involve gamification methodologies for involve and develop these children.

Logical Reasoning

We normally associate logical reasoning with mathematics, but it is more than that. We can say that logical reasoning is a tool for understanding the world. By using this tool, the child is able to understand what is bigger or smaller, what happened before or after and how old he is. Simply put, math is another tool that we have at our disposal to help us solve problems. The challenges, presented in the form of small games, encourage the child to exercise concepts, solve problems and become familiar with logic and mathematics in a playful way.

Creativity

Creativity is one of the most important characteristics of child development, a child needs to invent, imagine, finger. These activities contribute to the solution of problems that she encounters in everyday life, either to climb a small step, seen as an obstacle or as a certain design, “with what colors?”, “Respecting the edges?”. At Sloth World, we seek to encourage children to play with clothes and accessories for their avatar. In this mode, it is possible for a child to wear as clothes that they find most interesting, regardless of reason or justification, it is important that they share and be able to display it every time they interact with their avatar. Throughout the application, we present a series of challenges in all the correct answers.

Literacy

Among the definitions of literacy, the most used is that literacy is a process of learning the alphabet. In several studies on literacy, including the more traditional ones, the importance of the collaboration of “non-school” agents to reinforce learning has been perceived. In the universe of private schools, literacy is often already introduced in pre-school (one year before stipulated by MEC). Knowing this, in our environment, we propose challenges that work with the initial concepts of literacy, such as letters, syllables and words. The goal of our challenges is not to teach children how to read, but to make them have fun with exercises that will contribute to the literacy process.

Empathy

We define empathy as the ability to put ourselves in the other's shoes. Children's demonstrations of empathy are diverse, ranging from offering food to their favorite stuffed animal or giving a hug to a person who is crying. It is important that in this new capture of the world she develops empathy, learns to share, hopes, respects and talks. Concern for the other is a characteristic that needs to be well developed in children, we live in a very heterogeneous world and a society that suffers from intolerance, prejudice, bullying and violence. The importance of “teaching” empathy extends from the formation of a more supportive and tolerant child to developing desirable characteristics for working as a team.

Healthy Habits

Healthy habits can be understood in a more technical way, addressing the concepts of morals and ethics. Our proposal is to work on this topic in a slightly more informal way. In this item, we seek to work on concepts and exercises not covered in the other areas of development covered so far. In the challenges presented in this last classification, we expanded the child's relationships to several other areas. We talked about healthy eating, about hygiene habits, about the relationships between professionals and work and notions of respect and citizenship.
